I’m heading to Greece today with my husband and I’m so excited! We haven’t gone on a big trip, just the two of us, in years. I’m proud to report that I will not be checking luggage. It’s easier to pack lightly when you have the same weather and activities for the entire trip, which we do.

Packing Priorities
The weather looks beautiful—low 60s to low 70s the whole time—so I don’t have to take anything bulky. I decided to skip using a color palette because I found that really boring when we went to England in June. I felt like I wore the same outfit the whole time and really craved some variety. So I mixed it up more for this trip.
The pics below show all the clothes I packed in various stages. As always, packing cubes are essential! I love seeing how people pack for travel, don’t you? It’s a peek into the traveler’s hopes and dreams for the trip, along with their specific outfits.

My Greece Packing List
- 2 cotton dresses, for dinners out
- 2 skirts, one short, one long for touring, shopping, cafes
- 2 pair pants and one pair shorts for touring and travel
- 8 tops that don’t need ironing in different sleeve lengths
- One cardigan for layering at night or on the water.
- A bathing suit and cover up
- Athletic pants and tees for hiking
- 2 pair comfy sandals
- 2 light night shifts, a scarf, socks and undies.
- A few inexpensive pairs of earrings. (I left all “good” jewelry at home.)
This is in addition to the stretchy outfit and sneakers I’m wearing on the plane. On long haul flights, sleep trumps chic!
I’m carrying my important cosmetic and tech items in my tote and this was the most stressful part of packing. I need a better system to organize and keep track of things like meds, glasses and chargers. I’ll work on this for our next trip.
Follow my Progress
I’ll be posting on Instagram stories while we’re away if you’d like to follow along with our exploits and see how my clothing choices hold up. I have a little room in my suitcase so I can scoop up some souvenirs. Our first flight is about to board so I’m going to hit post. Athens here we come!
Have a wonderful trip!Maureen
