I’m a freelance writer and speaker specializing in communication, relationships and lifestyle. I’ve always been fascinated with each stage of a woman’s life and how to make the most of it. From interviewing my girlfriends about bad dates in our 20s, to my first official blog—Forty Fabulous, launched almost 20 years ago—to my award winning Sex & the Suburbs column, I’ve explored ways for women to feel vibrant, empowered and connected at any age. I just turned 60 and that’s still how I want to feel!
Like most women, I’ve worn a lot of hats over the years. I was an editor and frequent contributor to the Modern Luxury family of magazines, among others. I’ve worked as a marketer, corporate trainer, sang in a classic rock band, acted on stage and raised two amazing humans. I’ve spent most of my adult life in the Chicago area, but now that we’re empty nesters, my husband and I split time between downtown Chicago and Bonita Springs, Florida. I’m obsessed with playing tennis.
Fully Fabulous will encompass themes from my past work combined with the issues and opportunities that engage me (and hopefully you) now. The name an apt throwback to the OG Forty Fabulous, without being age specific. And since we are fully grown women, we have so many fabulous, juicy aspects of ourselves to express.
